3 People Injured in Hit and Run

A hit and run on the west side late friday sent three people to University hospital with serious injuries. Police spokeswoman Sgt Javier Salazar said the accident happened at old highway 90 and southeast 38th street just before 1030pm when a speeding dodge durango failed to stop at the intersection and smashed into a chevrolet aveo.

The driver of the Dodge fled on foot without aiding the seriously injured people in the other vehicle, Salazar said. He’ll face charges of failure to stop and render aid when he’s caught.
